Parish Council

There are three tiers of local government in West Sussex: The County Council, District Councils and Parish & Town Councils.

Pagham Parish Council is responsible for local community matters.  These cover such wide ranging aspects of local life as:

children’s playgrounds; street lighting; public seats; bus shelters; parking spaces; developing and improving knowledge of the arts; promoting tourism; recommendations for planning applications.

The Parish Council may also make representations to other authorities on your behalf where the council feels it is able to assist.

To assist you in understanding our role, we have developed the Pagham Parish Council Mission Statement which we believe details our commitment to the residents of Pagham.

The Pagham Parish Council consists of twelve locally elected members and one employed Clerk to the Council together with an administrative assistant.  The Councillors may be contacted through the Parish Clerk.

The Parish Council members have fortnightly meetings to which the public are invited.  Details of these meetings are on the Council Meetings Schedule page.
